Hand Nailing- The Bone Dry Way
Since 1989, our customers have counted on Bone Dry Roofing, Inc. to cover their
finest possessions. We have spent that time building not only our company,
but also a relationship with our customers. More that 60% of our sales
come from satisfied customer referrals. We are very proud of this - it
means our customers are happy with our workmanship.
In this age of technology, many ways have been invented to increase the speed at
which a roof can be installed. The pneumatic nailing gun is one such
invention. While this method has increased speed, it has decreased the
accuracy of where the nail goes. Bone Dry Roofing, Inc. does not use
pneumatic nail guns . We drive every nail into place by hand. Hand
nailing is a much more precise method which allows us to stay within the
manufacturers' guidlines for placement of the nails; therefore assuring your
warranty in the future if any problems should occur.
Regardless of the outside temperature, by hand nailing, we can guarantee the
nail depth will be correct. With a pneumatic gun, depth control can become
an issue. If the nails are driven in too deeply, which can happen on a hot
day when the heat makes the shingles softer, it can damage the shingle and even
punch all the way through thus not even holding the shingle to the roof.
If it is cold, and the shingles and the wood decking are hard, the nails might
not go all the way in leaving "nail pops", which if the nail continues to work
itself out of place, will raise the shingle. Water can then get under the
raised shingle causing damage to the roof underneath.
We are proud of our reputation, but it is a result of our crews and their
craftmanship and the desire to complete all our jobs to our customer's
satisfaction which has built our company.
