Navigating Your Storm Claim

When a storm hits, there are many things to worry about, and we would like to make sure your roof is not one of them.  We have come up with some steps that will make it easier for you to get your home fixed with the least amount of trouble to you.

  1. Contact a Qualified Contractor
If you are reading this, you have already taken the first step toward insuring a positive contracting experience.  By selecting Bone Dry Roofing, Inc., you have placed your trust in the Midwests' largest, and most decorated residential roofing contractor.  Our representatives would be happy to present you with an accurate evaluation of your property, and a fair estimate to correct any and all damage caused by the storm.
  2. File a Claim with your Insurance Agent
Contact your local insurance agent or company to notify them that you have suffered hail damage and need to file a claim.  Your insurance carrier will then issue you a claim number.  It is very important that you not lose your claim number.  All subsequent contact with your insurance company will require confirmation of this number.
  3. Schedule an Appointment with the Insurance Adjuster
In addition to the evaluation provided by Bone Dry Roofing, Inc., an adjuster from your insurance company will need to review the damage to your home.  We suggest that you schedule a time that allows for your presence at the appointment.  Make certain that the adjuster gets on your roof so as to provide you with an accurate assessment of the damage.  Lastly, inquire as to when you should expect reciept of your loss summary report.
  4. Negotiating Replacement Cost Differences
Do not be suprised if your estimate from Bone Dry Roofing, Inc., and your loss summary report from your insurance carrier do not match.  Simply forward a copy of your loss summary report to one of our staff insurance negotiators, and we will be more than happy to initiate contact with your insurance company to reach an agreed upon settlement.

Upon agreement by all parties to a final Replacement Cost Value (RCV), your insurance company will first cut you a check for the Actual Cost Value (ACV).  This figure is calculated by subtracting Depreciation from the RCV.  Once your insurance company verifies that Bone Dry Roofing, Inc. has completed your project, they will cut you a check equal to the value of the Depreciation.
  5. Scheduling Production
Within 3 to 5 days of acceptance of our estimate, a Bone Dry Roofing, Inc. Customer Service Representative will contact you to confirm selection of your shingle color, any upgrade options, and a production start date.  It is very that we recieve a final confirmation of your shingle color a minimum of two weeks prior to the commencement of production.
  6. Production
Unless your roof is unusually large, Bone Dry Roofing, Inc. can complete a roof tearoff and replacement, from start to finish, in less than two days.  Our highly skilled roofing specialists can "hand nail" between 25-40 squares per day.
  7. Payment
Bone Dry Roofing, Inc. never requests an upfront deposit.  Rather, payment in full is due upon satisfactory completion of your roofing project.  In some instances, Bone Dry Roofing, Inc. will extend credit terms for qualified buyers.
